Greek Shish Kebabs

A great summer dish, serve with a salad and a slice of lemon. Ideal on the BBQ

  • 750 grams diced lamb leg
  • 1 lemon cut into wedges


  • 100 gram Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 onion grated
  • 2 cloves garlic crushed
  • 1/2 lemon juiced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp mint chopped
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper
  • 8 skewers


  • In a large bowl, combine yogurt, onion, garlic, lemon juice,oil, mint and seasoning. add lamb and toss to coat, you can cover and refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight.
  • Thread lamb onto skewers. Cook on a hot BBQ for 10-12 minutes, turning 2-3 times, until cooked through. Garnish with mint and lemon wedges.
